Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

It's been a while since I've posted, sorry about that!  I've been enjoying some time outside - biking and running!

Now onto the Blog Hop challenge - Boys to Men.  You were to create some sort of masculine project.  This was hard for me since I don't have a lot of masculine embellishments, but I do have the colors!  I made a birthday card (once again) with a sense of masculinity...

I used PTI Kraft paper, PTI Vintage Cream Ribbon, and PTI Birthday Wishes Stamp and cut out.
2 blue buttons I found and the brown button is from Tim Holtz Accoutrements Buttons.
Jillibean Soup Journaling Sprouts and Sugar pick.

Here is a close up of the focal point!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to have more bits coming soon...but I can't promise anything if the weather continues to be glorious!  Have a good day, and I can't wait to see the other blogs!

Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

Made it to my first blog hop!  I'm so excited!!!
I made a card for a friend, her son is turning one.  It is so hard for me to make cards for boys, but this one was so fun to make!

There was a challenge for us to make something that had scallops involved.  My scallops just happen to be the clouds.  I just used a circle punch and then used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Pearl)

Other Items used:
Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock; Make A Wish stamp
Blue, yellow, and red paper I had lying around
Martha Stewart glitter, Lapis
Kaiser Craft Homemade buttons

I also have another friend, whose son is also turning one...maybe I'll just use this card again!  Hope you all enjoyed my little project!  It was fun!

Thanks for visiting!

Make It Monday: Vellum Sentiment

I finally got my project done!  I actually had a lot of fun making this card.  I really had no idea where to start.  Went through tons of paper my mother gave me, and finally picked out a theme.....PINK!  It is very simple, but I love it for my second card!!!

PTI:  Make A Wish Stamp
My Mind's Eye Paper
The flower I made and then put an embellishment in the middle.

Now that I have 20 sheets of vellum, I'm going to be making a lot of project with it!  I wish I could scrap more this weekend since I have a shipment of supplies coming tomorrow (YAY!), but I will be traveling to Spokane for the weekend to meet the in-laws!!!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and Happy Presidents Day!

Happy Wednesday!

Hello All!  This last weekend was great fun!  Great breakfast in Port Townsend, then hung out on the beach for a few hours.  It was kind of windy, but that didn't stop us from having fun!! Lola enjoyed it too...

Matt and I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day, but I had to make him a card!

That was a fun project.  Now it's time for a new project, the Make It Monday Challenge!  We have to work with vellum, so this will be new for me.  We'll see what I come up with!!!  I'll post as soon as I am finished!

Lazy Saturday

Welcome!  This is my first post to my FIRST blog.  I got my inspiration to start a blog from my mother, Kristii Lockart.  Thanks Mom!  I also started this blog to post some of my projects of scrap booking and of updating our house so everyone can see.  I'm just starting to get into scrap booking and my Mom has helped me out tremendously!
Today Matt and I are having a lazy Saturday.  It's so nice to have just one of those days (since this is taking me so long to create!), and since Matt just bought a new car and he's been in the garage for the majority of the day. Ha!  Tomorrow will be fun though, we are thinking of going to breakfast in Port Townsend to Point Hudson Cafe.  I just love that town.  We'll have to take Lola so she can enjoy the beach!  Hopefully it will be nice out tomorrow...it's raining right now.  Surprise, surprise.

A couple of days ago, my Mom introduced me into Papertreyink.com and some of the challenges they have.  I entered one and it's called Make It Monday.  We had to get our sentiment stamps out and make a collage of them.  This is what I came up with:

Recently I made my husband a Valentine's Day card...but I'll post that after so he won't have a sneak peak.  He he he.

Well thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully I'll get the hang of this soon!  Enjoy the rest of your day.....
